Questions before you ship

The things people ask before they get in touch. If yours is not here, the contact page is one click away.

Getting a price

What do you need to give me a quote?

Collection and delivery postcodes, the number of pallets (or the dimensions and weight if it is not palletised), the gross weight, and the date the goods will be ready. If the cargo is dangerous or needs a set temperature, say so — it changes which vehicle can take it.

How quickly do you reply?

For standard consignments on the main Bulgaria–Europe lanes, usually within the same working day. Oversized, ADR and multi-stop shipments take longer because the price depends on permits and carrier availability.

Is the quote binding?

A quote is valid for the date and details it was given for. If the weight, dimensions or dates change, the price may too — we will tell you before the truck is booked, not after.

Sizes and quantities

Is there a minimum shipment?

No. We carry from a single pallet, and documents and parcels below that. Small consignments travel on scheduled groupage lines, so they move on the same days as everything else.

How many pallets fit in one truck?

33 to 34 europallets (120 × 80 cm) in a standard curtain-sided trailer, or 26 industrial pallets (120 × 100 cm). A refrigerated trailer takes 33. The payload limit is around 24 tonnes.

When is a full truck cheaper than groupage?

Roughly from ten to twelve europallets upwards, or when the goods must not be transhipped. Below that, paying for loading metres on a groupage line is almost always cheaper.

What is a loading metre?

One metre of the trailer floor across its full width — the unit groupage is priced in. A europallet takes 0.4 loading metres; a trailer has 13.6.

Transit and delivery

How long does delivery from Germany to Bulgaria take?

Two to three days express, three to five on a standard line, counted from collection. Italy is similar; Greece and Romania are one to two days. See the full table on the routes page.

Can I track the shipment?

Yes. You get the vehicle and driver details when the truck is booked, and updates at collection, at the border where relevant, and at delivery.

Do you deliver to a private address or only to businesses?

Both, but a business address with a loading dock or forklift is the standard. Delivery to an address without unloading equipment needs a tail-lift vehicle, which we must know in advance.

Documents and special cargo

Which documents does an EU-to-Bulgaria shipment need?

A commercial invoice, a packing list and a CMR consignment note. Within the EU there is no customs declaration; for Serbia and North Macedonia there is, and we arrange it. You can generate the CMR yourself with our free tool.

Can you carry dangerous goods?

Yes, under ADR. We need the UN number, packing group and quantity per package. Below the limited-quantity thresholds the goods can usually travel as groupage; above them they need a dedicated ADR vehicle.

Do you handle temperature-controlled goods?

Yes. Reefer trailers hold a set temperature for the whole journey and record it, so the receiver gets a temperature log with the delivery. Chilled and frozen are different services — tell us which.

Is the cargo insured?

Carrier liability under the CMR Convention applies to every shipment, limited to 8.33 SDR per kilogram of gross weight. For goods worth more than that per kilo, additional cargo insurance is available on request — ask for it when you request the quote.
