Express transport
A dedicated vehicle that leaves when the goods are ready.
Express means a vehicle assigned to your consignment alone. It leaves when the goods are ready rather than on a schedule, and it drives to the delivery address without passing through a terminal.
When it is worth the difference
- A production line is stopped and waiting for the part
- A fixed delivery slot that a groupage line cannot guarantee
- Goods that should not be transhipped at all
Express to Germany or Italy typically runs two to three days against three to five on a standard line. The saving is usually larger than it sounds, because a scheduled line only departs on certain days.
