Full and partial loads

A whole truck when the volume justifies it, a share of one when it does not.

A standard curtain-sided trailer takes 33 to 34 europallets, 24 tonnes of payload and 13.6 loading metres. If your consignment fills most of that, a full load is usually both faster and cheaper per pallet, because nothing is transhipped along the way.

When groupage makes more sense

Below roughly ten pallets, a full truck stops paying for itself. On a groupage line your goods share the trailer with other consignments and you pay for the loading metres you occupy. The trade-off is a fixed departure schedule instead of a truck that leaves when you are ready.

What we need to quote

  • Collection and delivery postcodes, not just the cities
  • Number of pallets and whether they are stackable
  • Gross weight and the height of the tallest pallet
  • Any fixed delivery window at the receiving warehouse
