Groupage transport – how it works with us

Groupage (LTL) means your shipment travels in one truck together with other customers’ goods and you pay only for the space you take – from a single pallet upwards. It is the most economical way to move pallet shipments between Bulgaria and Europe when you do not have a full truck.

Our groupage lines run on a fixed schedule: shipments are collected during the week, trucks to Germany, Italy, Poland, Austria, Czechia and Hungary depart on Friday or Saturday, and delivery is at the start of the following week. To Romania and Greece there are trucks almost every day – loading within 24 hours of confirmation and delivery the next day. Serbia and North Macedonia are as a rule today for tomorrow, with customs representation.

What you can send as groupage

• Euro pallets 120 × 80 cm and industrial pallets 120 × 100 cm, up to 1,000 kg per pallet in standard mode.
• Cartons and parcels consolidated on a pallet – we palletise several cartons at our warehouse.
• Refrigerated shipments as groupage – on the lines with reefer trucks (Greece, Romania, Germany, Italy).
• ADR goods in limited quantities – with the class and packaging agreed in advance.
• Long and non-standard shipments – on request, if they fit a standard 13.6 m trailer.

Groupage or full truck?

As a rule of thumb groupage is cheaper up to 10–12 euro pallets. Above that, for goods that must not be transhipped, or with a fixed delivery date, a full or partial truck (FTL/PTL) is the better choice: a standard trailer takes 33–34 euro pallets and up to 24 tonnes, a mega trailer up to 3 m of height, and for smaller volumes we use vans up to 1,200 kg with express delivery in 2–3 days.

What determines the price of a groupage shipment

The number and type of pallets (or the volume in cubic metres and the weight – the greater is charged), the destination and whether the delivery address is in an industrial zone or a city centre, the need for a tail lift, pre-advice or a fixed time slot, refrigerated or ADR mode, and insurance above the standard CMR liability.
